Originally, in our trout farming days, trout from our own farm and mackerel, a fish that was just discovered to be tasty as well as inexpensive, was the only choice. Now thirty years later kippers, salmon, cod roe, haddock and eel are included as the smoked fish for sale with Bridfish. In the meat and cheese department, duck bacon cheddar, brie and stilton are included in our extensive range.
As well as our own smoked foods the freezers are full of a selection of white fish shellfish and fish soups. Marinated herring and anchovies are there to entice the seafood gourmet.
On the shelves providing an interesting accompaniment to your own dinner table or gift hamper are local chutneys, sauces , jams, biscuits and wines. As far as mail order is concerned these items can all be included in hampers to suit individual tastes.
Over the years a number of fishermen customers have brought in their catch for us to smoke –we are pleased to provide this service for anyone lucky enough to have a successful fishing/shooting day.
Our markets include farm shops, butchers and delicatessens mostly with in a radius of 50 miles.
